The much anticipated bi-annual Swimming Gala was held on 24th October 2019 at the Sun Yet Sun Memorial Park Swimming Pool. Our girls shined with the spirit of the school theme this year, “Cherish our gifts. Challenge our limits.”
At the pool area, swimmers demonstrated their speed and stamina while the cheering teams from six houses were cheering them on at the spectator stand with great enthusiasm. Finally, Violet House emerged victoriously as the Overall Champion.
Our Guest of Honour Mr. Cheng Wing Hang, coach of the Hong Kong Shuttlecock Association, presented medals and prizes to our girls. In his speech, Mr. Cheng emphasised the importance of perseverance. “It is only with great perseverance can one achieve success, which will become the starting point of the pursuit of a higher goal. Life is comprised of limitless challenges in which one grows to become a great person.”
