The quality of teaching is continually enhanced through systematic teacher development

programs which enable teachers to review and reflect upon their existing teaching practices and learn new ones. Our teachers have successfully undergone a paradigm shift from teacher-oriented to student-oriented classroom approaches where students are provided with opportunities to actively participate in learning. This culture of collaborative lesson planning, peer observation and professional exchange activities among teachers and across the school is vital to sustain modern learning. A professional learning community is formed at St. Clare’s through the interactions of various teachers’ professional learning circles.

Professional learning circles among teachers of different panels and areas have been set up for teaching to share their teaching experiences within a panel and across different panels. (e.g. professional learning circles for STEM, Language Across the Curriculum and Cater for Learners’ Diversity)
