Joint School Interact Club Afternoon Tea 2024

The Joint School Interact Club Afternoon Tea, held on 5th July, 2024, under the inspiring theme “United as One,” was a resounding success. The event brought together 94 participants, including the Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Harbour, students and teachers from various schools, such as King’s College, Queen’s College, St. Paul’s College, Wah Yan College Hong Kong, Ying Wa Girls’ School and St. Clare’s Girls’ School in a warm and inclusive atmosphere. This event celebrated the accomplishments of the academic year, highlighting various activities that fostered altruism and support for embracing diversity.

Attendees enjoyed a delightful selection of teas and treats while engaging in heartfelt discussions about the initiatives undertaken to promote diversity and inclusion within the school community and the society. The afternoon tea featured networking activities, engaging discussions, and a speech by the guest-of-honor Ms. Angela Hui, Past President of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Harbour. Ms. Hui shared her personal experience with Rotary, inspiring students to consider how they could make a positive impact in their communities and the world at large. It also reinforced the importance of unity and understanding among different cultures.

In addition to promoting leadership and community service, the event also provided students with an opportunity to practice important social skills, such as table manners and social etiquette. President David and fellow Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Harbour also attended the event, adding to the lively atmosphere and providing students with valuable networking opportunities. Overall, the event not only showcased the school’s commitment to inclusivity but also strengthened the bonds among all participants, making it a memorable and impactful gathering.
