The Joint School Interact Club Afternoon Tea, held on July 7, 2025, under the inspiring theme \u2018Cultivating Compassion, Creating Connections,\u2019 was a resounding success. The event brought together 93 participants, including Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Harbour, students, and teachers from various schools such as King\u2019s College, Queen\u2019s College, St. Paul\u2019s College, St. Paul\u2019s Secondary School, Wah Yan College Hong Kong, Ying Wa College, Ying Wa Girls\u2019 School, and St. Clare\u2019s Girls\u2019 School, all in a warm and inclusive atmosphere. This event celebrated the accomplishments of the academic year, highlighting various activities that fostered altruism and the collective responsibility of caring and giving support.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Attendees enjoyed a delightful selection of teas and treats while engaging in heartfelt discussions about the initiatives undertaken to reach out to those in need within the school community and society. The afternoon tea featured networking activities, engaging discussions, and a speech by guest of honour Ms. Harmony Li, Head of Community Ventures at Social Ventures Hong Kong (SVhk). Ms. Li shared her journey of becoming an \u2018impact entrepreneur\u2019 and the most remarkable moments of working at SVhk, inspiring students to consider how they could make a positive change in their communities and the world at large. It also reinforced the importance of connections and understanding among different people.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In addition to promoting leadership and community service, the event provided students with an opportunity to practice important social skills, such as table manners and social etiquette. President-elect Grace, fellow Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Harbour, and Mr. Leon Yue, Senior Programme Manager of Suicide Prevention Services, also attended the event, adding to the lively atmosphere and providing students with valuable networking opportunities. Overall, the event not only showcased the school\u2019s commitment to inclusivity but also strengthened the bonds among all participants, making it a memorable and impactful gathering.<\/p>\n
