<\/p>\nWe are delighted to share that four of our S4 students \u2013\u00a0Umi Leung, Elsa Ng, Kaka Wong and Merry Wu\u00a0\u2013 have been selected for the fifth cohort of the\u00a0Leadership Institute on Narcotics (L.I.O.N.). Following their successful interview on 13 December 2025, our school was shortlisted as one of 20 participating schools across the territory, a meaningful recognition of both our students\u2019 potential and the school\u2019s commitment to nurturing responsible young leaders.\u200b<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The journey began in earnest on 24 January 2026, when our L.I.O.N. representatives attended their first training session, which covered drug-related legal and medical knowledge. They then visited the Shek Kwu Chau Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre on 7 February 2026, gaining first-hand insight into the challenges of drug addiction and the importance of sustained rehabilitation support.\u200b<\/p>\n

On 7 March 2026, the students, accompanied by Ms. Lynette Cheung (their mentor and a distinguished fencing athlete), Ms. C. S. Chan (one of the teachers-in-charge), and a representative from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, joined the official kick-off ceremony at the\u00a0JPC Leadership Training Camp in Pat Heung, Yuen Long. The event marked the beginning of an exciting journey of leadership development and community service for our students.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was officiated by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chow Yat-ming, who highlighted the vital role young leaders play in tackling evolving drug threats, including the emerging challenge posed by etomidate. Our students also found it inspiring to hear the sharing by awardees from the fourth cohort, who illustrated how the programme has equipped them with up-to-date knowledge, practical skills, and a strong sense of mission in anti-drug education. Beyond the formal proceedings, the day featured immersive team-building activities that fostered camaraderie, resilience, and leadership from the very beginning, and our four students took part with great enthusiasm.\u200b<\/p>\n

All four participants remarked that they will cherish every learning opportunity offered by the programme and pledged to work with different sectors of the community to promote anti-drug messages through sustained publicity, education, and community involvement. We are deeply proud of their commitment to fostering a healthy, drug-free society.<\/p>\n
