On 5 December 2023, our school invited Vivek Mahbubani, a renowned bilingual stand-up comedian from Hong Kong, to speak to our S4 students.

 

Vivek Mahbubani is a highly recognized comedian in the world of comedy. He was crowned the “Funniest Person” in Hong Kong in 2007 and emerged as the winner in the English category at the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition the following year. His talent has gained him international acclaim, ranking him among the top ten comedians in the Funniest Person in the World Competition in 2014.

 

During the talk, Vivek shared valuable insights and skills with the students. He focused on the effective organization of speech content, teaching the students how to structure their messages in a concise and impactful manner. Additionally, Vivek imparted his knowledge of spoken voice skills and techniques to help the students enhance their public speaking abilities. By drawing from his own experiences and achievements, Vivek inspired the students to develop their authentic voices and express themselves confidently.
