The Academic Week was held from 15 to 19 May 2023. The event was co-organized by the PSHE Education KLA and the Science Education KLA, with the help of the Mathematics Education KLA.
Objectives:
- To motivate students’ learning and enrich students’ learning experiences of subjects in PSHE Education KLA, Science Education KLA and Mathematics Education KLA
- To enhance the collaboration among subjects and KLAs
- To empower student leaders through organizing cross-curricular activities
The theme of the Academic Week was ‘War and Peace’. Students gained learning experiences through the following activities:
- Library Book Sharing
- Exhibition and Booth Games
- Parachute Competition
- Movie Sharing
- Best Wishes through Origami
- Academic Quiz Competition
Activities of different nature were designed to cater for the diverse interest of students. The activities were mutually connected in an attempt to echo the theme from different perspectives.
On the whole, the Academic Week was successfully held. Students participated actively in various activities with a lot of fun. Through the activities, they were encouraged to integrate knowledge from different subjects and have a deeper understanding of the theme.
