To nurture creativity, teamwork, and House spirit, the school organised a Fondant Cake Decorating Workshop on 13 December and 20 December 2025. The workshops brought together six House members from each House, who worked collaboratively to decorate fondant cakes in the most creative, expressive, and fun ways to represent their respective Houses.
We were delighted to invite alumna Ms. Selina Ho as the workshop tutor. Drawing on her experience in cake decoration and design, Selina guided students through a variety of fondant decorating techniques, including shaping, texturing, colouring, layering designs, and finishing decorative details. Through clear demonstrations and patient guidance, students learnt how fondant can be transformed into imaginative visual elements that tell a story.

Across the two workshop sessions, House members displayed strong creativity and collaboration, applying newly acquired techniques to design Christmas‑themed fondant cakes as their workshop deliverables. Each House presented a distinctive concept, incorporating festive elements, symbolic motifs, and creative structures that reflected both the season’s joy and their House identity. The completed cakes showcased careful planning, artistic flair, and a strong sense of teamwork.

Beyond skill development, the workshops also served as a meaningful connection between alumni and current students. Selina’s sharing encouraged students to explore creativity beyond the traditional classroom and to appreciate the value of alumni support in enriching school life. The Fondant Cake Decorating Workshop was a joyful and inspiring experience—one that blended creativity, collaboration, and House pride, while laying the foundation for future celebrations that honour both tradition and innovation.
