Reading Party: Talk with Pen So

The School Library collaborated with the Art Club to host a “Reading Party” on 6 March 2026, inviting renowned Hong Kong comic artist Mr. Pen So to share his creative journey with students studying Visual Arts.

 

A local Hong Kong illustrator and graphic designer, Mr. Pen So is known for his distinctive black-and-white line drawings that depict Hong Kong’s cityscape through surreal and imaginative perspectives. With a deep curiosity about urban life and a keen eye for observation, he has captured the spirit of the city in his works and has received numerous international awards in recent years.

 

During the session, Mr. Pen So shared his creative experiences and how he turned his passion for drawing into a career. He encouraged students to showcase their work confidently, sharing how he participates in book fairs worldwide and uses social media to introduce his art to a wider audience.

 

The event concluded with Mr. Pen So signing autographs and sketching small portraits for students, making the session a memorable and inspiring exchange for all.
