The Hong Kong Young Historian Institute, in collaboration with the Harbour Bay Society, organize the ‘Trace Our Root: Inter-school Historical Essay Competition’, designed to enhance secondary students’ understanding of History. This year, four S.4 students, Karena Nam, Ariana Kwok, Charlotte Chun, and Regina Wong, who are pursuing History as their elective, have joined the competition.

 

The competition offers a series of workshops and experiential activities designed to strengthen historical inquiry and essay-writing skills, while fostering deeper research into our School History in preparation for the upcoming 100th anniversary.

 

The opening ceremony was held on 7 March 2026 at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The event featured an introductory seminar and an essay-writing workshop, providing all participants with a rewarding and enriching experience.
