In the Mathematics Book Report Competition for Secondary Schools 2024/25, organized by the Mathematics Education Section of the Education Bureau, our junior form student, S.2 Charlie Yu, was awarded the Appreciation Award in the Junior Secondary Category. This competition served as a platform for students to enhance their mathematical skills and showcase their creativity. Congratulations on this achievement!

In the Competition on System Modeling & Optimization (COSMO) 2025, organized by The Chinese University of Hong Kong during the summer of 2025, two of our senior form students, S.6 Ceci Chan and Polly Chu, were awarded the Merit (Third Class) Award.
This competition provided a platform for students to actively engage in mathematical study, enhancing their skills in constructing system models and utilizing mathematical methods and computer technology to solve problems. Congratulations on this achievement!

A team of four S.4 students—Esme Lee, Yoyo Hung, Victoria Chan, and Kelly Tse—participated in the 2025 Personal Finance Literacy Competition organized by the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong in July. The students received the YIDC Outstanding Performance Award, which includes a cash prize of $500. Congratulations to the winners!

Three of our students achieved outstanding results in the 2025 PolyU FCE build a Smart City Competition, organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. This event aims to encourages students to develop innovative solutions for transforming Hong Kong into a Smart City.

In the “Shaping a Smart Environment through Carbon-Neutral Vision: Starting from Your Campus” category, a team of S.5 innovators – Kylie Law, Gianna Liao, and Megan Ma – demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills and teamwork, securing the 2nd Runner-up position. Their project showcased both innovation and feasibility, and effectively applied cross-curricular knowledge to the concept of a Smart City.
